NetApp StorageGRID Upgrade Procedure

Issue

  • During an upgrade of StorageGRID software, the upgrade pre-check process does not proceed past a specific node
  • No explicit error is shown in the upgrade interface
  • Attempts to collect support bundles or logs from the affected node also hang
  • SSH connectivity tests may succeed on some networks but fail on others.

Output from /var/local/log/gdu-server.log on the primary admin node:

The process stalls at “Checking connectivity of <node>” and does not proceed.
