StorageGRID decommission stuck at Generating GRID configuration

Issue

After decommissioning a node, the process seems to be stuck. When clicking the Decommission page in the StorageGRID GUI, it will keep showing "generating GRID configuration". When clicking the resume button, it does not change or continue.
