Applies to

  • StorageGRID 11.9.0.6 and later
  • Admin Node (bare-metal or virtual)
  • Ubuntu host OS
  • Docker-based StorageGRID deployments

Issue

  • The StorageGRID Node container failed to auto-start, resulting in the node being administratively down in the grid.
  • storagegrid node status output showing state as Error:
    WARNING: Node <node_name> exited by itself (code 1)
    Name               Config-State    Run-State
    <node_name>        Configured      Error
