SGF6112 node fails to start up

Applies to

  • NetApp StorageGRID OS 11.80 or later
  • NetApp StorageGRID Appliance Model SGF6112

Issue

  • The affected storage node cannot start the StorageGRID service and is in a pre-GRID environment (PGE) state.
  • The top page of the PGE displays a message instructing to contact technical support.
  • The attention lamp (amber color) on the SGF6112 node repeatedly turns on and off.
  • When attempting to log in to the BMC for investigation, login is not possible while the amber LED is on.
  • When the lamp is off, it is temporarily possible to log in and the browser tab displays Quanta Cloud, but it soon becomes unusable.
