Description

  • This describes how to configure NTP servers on an individual node level, bypassing the standard StorageGRID wide configuration.  
  • This method allows for grid-site specific NTP configuration removing unreachable NTP IPs alerts from the standard StorageGRID wide configuration.  
  • This method also allows for the ability to use FQDNs for NTP servers (such as pool.ntp.org) which is not currently allowed through the StorageGRID GUI.
    • Only the Admin, Gateway, and ADC-Storage nodes are configured reach out to standard StorageGRID wide (external) NTP IPs.
    • All nodes will reach out to all StorageGRID wide admin, gateway, ADC storage nodes, regardless of site over the GRID network.
