Event Summary
- StorageGRID Grid Manager reports the following alert: Appliance NIC fault detected – A problem with a network interface card (NIC) in the appliance was detected.

Validate
- Login to the StorageGRID Grid Manager, and confirm the following alert is present:
Appliance NIC fault detected – A problem with a network interface card (NIC) in the appliance was detected
- Verify what errors are seen on hic with following commands.
ifconfig <hic>
ethtool -S <hic>
Resolution
- Within StorageGRID Grid Manager, navigate to Support > Diagnostics > Appliance hardware component temperatures and look for the NIC components.

- If above alerts are found, please follow the instructions under "NetApp StorageGRID NIC fault detected and temperature warning alert triggered" to address the issue.
- If above steps do not resolve the issue, then you may attempt a reseat of the NIC.
- Refer to the maintenance instructions for your appliance for detailed steps.
