Event Summary

StorageGRID Grid Manager reports the following alert: Appliance NIC fault detected – A problem with a network interface card (NIC) in the appliance was detected.

Validate

Login to the StorageGRID Grid Manager, and confirm the "Appliance NIC fault detected – A problem with a network interface card (NIC) in the appliance was detected" is present under Alerts section. 

Resolution

  1. Reseat the NIC. Refer to the maintenance instructions for your appliance for detailed steps.
  2. If necessary, replace the NIC. Please engage NetApp Technical Support for further assistance.
