  • CERT-In CIAD-2026-0050 reports that eMudhra intermediate certificates were issued with extremely small private keys. Chains that include those intermediates can be forged.
  • Root certificates from that advisory that are packaged in StorageGRID are AAA Certificate Services and emSign ECC Root CA - G3.
  • Those roots are used by the operating-system trust store and, for AAA Certificate Services, in the HTTPS AutoSupport CA bundle.
  • The same roots matter for a customer-uploaded chain on a load-balancer endpoint, KMIP server, single sign-on, the Admin Proxy, or email (Prometheus Alertmanager, MAV, and SMTP AutoSupport on 12.1 and later).
