Unable to perform SCO operation - Unexpected Error

SnapCenter Plug-in for Oracle Databases (SCO) - All versions

Issue

  • Scheduled SCO clone lifecycle job fails with following error in SC UI:

Failed to delete backup as there are clone(s) created from this backup. Please delete clone(s)

  • SCO clones cannot be deleted with error:

PL-SCO-20032: canExecute operation failed with error: PL-SCO-30001: Database SID "example" already exists, there may be an existing database defined with this SID

  • Discovery of the Database fails with:

An exception thrown during the execution of method findDatabaseVersion and the exception message is Operation Exception occured during oracle databaseconnection, reason: Unexpected Operation occured.

PL-SCO-20006: Discovery of database files failed for database

PL-SCO-20036: Discovery of database instance <ORASID> failed with error: Operation Exception occured during oracle databaseconnection, reason: Unexpected Operation occured.

  • But mainly the following error is seen:

c.n.c.r.RemoteObjectFactoryFactory - REMOTE-00001: Unable to connect to spawned helper process.
