SnapCenter restore fails using RDM disks

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV)
  • RDM/VMDK disks

Issue

  • Restore fails with the error seen in the Job Details:

Restore failed: Details: Error: No resources mounted from snapshot for restore

  • The RDM disks are shown as Dedicated in SC UI Disks view.
  • No connection with SCV from SC.
