Applies to

  • SnapCenter Server 6.0 (SC) or later
  • Windows Server 2022 or Windows Server 2025

Issue

  • SnapCenter Scheduled backups do not always run automatically.
  • Backups do run when triggered manually.
  • When a new policy and schedule are created, the job will run according to the schedule for approximately the first  a day.
  • A recycle of the 'snapcenter scheduler' pool in IIS s followed by an immediate shut down but the equivalent restart of it is missing:
  • The C:\Program Files\NetApp\Scheduler\logs latest scheduler logs shows that there was a shut down but no new log file is created after that.
