SnapCenter HANA database discovery failed

Issue

When trying to discover a HANA database in SC UI,  the process hangs and the HANA log shows the below error:

2023-09-14T14:09:27.0000689+02:00 ERROR [pool-1-thread-10] 100 com.netapp.plugincreator.common.restclient.SMSClientImpl -Error in sending request
javax.ws.rs.ProcessingException: javax.net.ssl.SSLException: SSLException invoking https://scserver11.domain.com:8146/JobStatusService.svc/UpdateJobStatus: Read timed out

The HTTPS connection from the HANA Plug-In host to the SnapCenter fails with the error:
'OpenSSL SSL_connect: SSL_ERROR_SYSCALL in connection to scserver11.domain.com:8146"

Incoming connections from other HANA servers to SC Server are working correctly.
