SnapCenter 6.0 Install Fails at Pre-requistes Validation

Issue

  • Attempting to install or upgrade SnapCenter 6.0 comes with an error about .NET 8.0 Windows Server:

  • Alternatively, the following message appears

Microsoft .NET 8.0 - Windows Server Hosting -> IIS module is missing. Repair of Microsoft .NET 8.0.8 - Windows server hosting is required.

  • SCW plugin upgrade or install fails with a generic error (MSI installation error code 1603).
  • Error logged in the SnapCenter_Windows_Host_Plug-in_Install_XXXX.log:

  • SCSQL plugin upgrade or install fails with a generic error (MSI installation error code 1603).
  • Error logged in the SnapCenter_Windows_Host_Plug-in_Install_XXXX.log:
