SCV snapshots not being removed from  VM

Applies to

  • SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV)  versions 5.0, 6.0, 6.0.1
  • VMware vCenter Server (VC) 

Issue

  • SCV retention applied as expected for primary and secondary storage
  • Snapshots older than retention still visible under SCV plug-in
  • Issue can also be seen when doing a Virtual Machine (VM) restore where all secondary snapshots are available
