SCV backup is still available on console even after Snapshot is deleted on ONTAP Primary

Issue

  • SCV backup retention policy seems not to delete backup data properly
  • SCV backup is still available on console even after Snapshot is deleted on ONTAP

Example: 'Primary retention' is 'Backup(s) To Keep: 3'

  • Only 3 Snapshots exist on primary storage

  • SCV console shows more than 3 backups

  • Restore wizard shows more than 3 backups when 'Primary/Secondary' is specified for location of filter
