SCV: Unable to find snapshot for SnapVault or SnapMirror update

Issue

  • SCV backup completes with a replication warning, where it cannot find the destination snapshot.
    • The following errors can be seen:
      • For SnapMirror replication
        • Seen in log:  wfe_<JobID>.log

Mirror failed: SnapMirror update failed for the relationship [<SOURCE_PATH> ==> <DESTINATION_PATH>] with error: Snapshot copy '<SNAPSHOT>' not found on the SnapMirror destination <DESTINATION_PATH>

    • For SnapVault replication
      • Seen in log:  wfe_<JobID>.log

Message: SnapVault update failed for the relationship [<Source_Volume> ==> <Destination_Volume>] with error: Snapshot copy '<Snapshot_Name>' not found on the SnapVault <Destination_Volume>

  • Not all secondary backups are listed or available for a resource in SCV
    • The below screenshot shows the daily backups of a datastore in SCV, and as can be seen, the secondary backups for 09/30, 10/01, 10/04 are not available:
