SCV Plugin registration fails after vCenter upgrade

Issue

  • After upgrading vCenter from 6.5 to 6.7 SCV plug-in registration fails with error:

Registration failed! Failed to register vCenter

  • Verify vCenter information is accurate and the user has required privileges.  Also, disabling the SCV plug-in service results in error:

Invalid port
