Exchange logs are not being truncated after upgrading SnapCenter

Applies to

  • SnapCenter Server (SC) 5.x, 6.0 and  6.0.1
  • SnapCenter Plug-in for Microsoft Exchange Server (SCE) 5.x, 6.0 and 6.0.1
  • Microsoft Exchange Database Availabilty Group (DAG)

Issue

  • After upgrading SnapCenter and SCE plug-in to 5.x, 6.0 or 6.0.1, truncation of the Exchange logs no longer occurs.
  • To force log truncation, Exchange Circular Logging has to be enabled.
  • The following error is seen in the Windows Event Viewer logs on the Exchange DAG host(s):

Failed to notify source server '<Server_Name>' about the local truncation point. Hresult: 0xc8000713. Error: Unable to find the file.
