CXPLAT-1357: Guest file restore fails on SCV 5.0 and later when a load-sharing mirror is configured for SVM root volume

Issue

  • When a load-sharing mirror (LSM) is configured for SVM root volume, the create guest file restore session job fails to attach VMDK on SnapCenter Plug-in for VMware vSphere (SCV) 5.0 and later.
  • Job Details page shows error:

Error: Failure while attaching disk to guest: Unable to mount datastores: nfs1 in Backup: 1.com.vmware.esx.hostctl.default:Operation failed, diagnostics report: Mount failed: Unable to complete Sysinfo operation. Please see the VMkernel log file for more details.: The NFS server denied the mount request
  •  Job-<jobid>.log shows [ERR] Error: Unable to determine root volume of storage virtual machine
