Unable to provision a new datastore using Virtual Storage Console after the SVM is renamed

Issue

After renaming a storage virtual machine (SVM), the following issues might be encountered when provisioning a new datastore using Virtual Storage Console (VSC):

  • In the provisioning wizard, provided you only have a single SVM on the array, the following "There are no matching storage virtual machines found for the selected storage system" error message is seen:

  • In the provisioning wizard, provided you have multiple SVMs, the SVM that was recently renamed is missing
