Issue

  • Increase virtual machine memory, virtual machine starts up, VSC Server does not show as running but displays:
    Host name 'OTVAppliance.demo.netapp.com' is invalid.

No network configuration selection was retrieved during OVF prompts.
This could be due to either an issue with the VMware Tools or
    network configuration issue.

Would you like to correct the configuration? [y]:
  • When attempt to bypass 'correcting the configuration' by selecting 'n' and try to start VSC:
Menu Application Configuration Menu > Start Vritual Storage Console server
  • Error reported:
Job for vscserver.service failed because of a timeout was exceeded. See "systemctl status vscserver.service" and "journalctl -xe" for details. Command failed.
