Issue

  • After upgrading VMware vCenter to version 8.0.3, customers may see the following alert in vSphere: “Unable to download the ONTAP Tools plug-in.”
  • When accessing the ONTAP tools VMs Web Console, the following messages may be displayed:

APPLICATION STATUS:

09/03/25 23:59: ONTAP tools plug-in service has been administratively stopped

09/03/25 23:59: Virtual Storage Console has been administratively stopped

09/03/25 23:58: VASA Provider and SRA has been administratively stopped
