Issue

  • After successfully adding vCenter into ONTAP Tools Manager, the NetApp ONTAP tools plugin does not appear in vSphere
  • When checking the Client Plugin details in vSphere, it shows the plugin status as Failed: Error downloading plug-in. URL is unreachable. Connection reset

  • The vSphere he vsphere_client_virgo logs show the following:

Impl         Downloading plugin package: com.netapp.otv:10.5.0.1767930180 has failed. Cannot connect to host: https://10.3.5.230:8443/virtualization/plugin.json java.net.SocketException: Connection reset at java.net.SocketInputStream.read(SocketInputStream.java:210)
