Issue

  • Unable to format a newly created iSCSI lun with error:

Failed to update the disk partition information

  • The source and target network port are configured with a MTU of 9000
  • A regular vmkping is coming through:

vmkping -I vmk<number> <target IP>

  • A vmkping from initiator to target is not coming through once using MTU 9000

vmkping -I vmk<number> <target IP> -s 9000
