Issue

  • Running a recovery plan with multiple LUNs in SRM fails with the following error:

Error: Failed to recover datastore '<datastore>'.
Failed to configure access to recovered device '//<device>'.

  • If the recovery plan is run again later, the plan succeeds.
  • In the SRA vvolvp.log file, there are errors similar to the following:

Unable to map LUN. Failed with exception Caused by: Failed to create igroup failover_igroup_domain-c#### type vmware.Initiator group already exists (errno=9004)

  • In the vvolvp.log file, you can see the same igroup created successfully prior to the to mapping error:

Created igroup failover_igroup_domain-c#### with initiators […]
