Installation of SRA 4.0P1 client plugin hangs at server IP and password

Issue

  • The SRA 4.0P1 client plugin netapp_sra_4.0P1_ontap_64bit.msi installation hangs at server IP and password with error:

The credentials you entered are not valid. Make sure to enter a valid hostname and password.

  • To confirm the issue, install the SRA 4.0P1 client plugin using windows installer msiexec.exe application with logging enabled:

msiexec /i netapp_sra_4.0P1_ontap_64bit.msi /l*v .\install.log

  • The installer logs end with:

Action 9:37:35: testJB. 
Action start 9:37:35: testJB.
