OTV web console shows deployment has failed with error code 05061

Applies to

  • ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere v10.x
  • VMware vSphere v7.x, v8.x

Issue

  • After a duration of time, a post-deployment of ONTAP tools for VMware vSphere (OTV) v10.x when right-clicking the OTV virtual machine (VM) and selecting Launch Web Console is found with the following message at the login prompt:

ERROR: ONTAP Tools Services deployment has failed with error code 05061.

  • Powering Off/On or restarting the OTV VM with vSphere does not resolve the issue
  • After logging into the OTV VM and selecting (4) Support and Diagnostics | (2) Access diagnostics shell or Remote access via SSH and running the command: kn get pods | grep CrashLoopBackOff,  multiple Kubernetes pods are found in a CrashLoopBackOff state as shown in the example below:
