Issue

  • SRM failover fails always at the first attempt at the 13th step "Change recovery site storage to writable", with the following the "error:

Failed to promote replica devices. A general system error occurred: N2Dr3Xml20XmlValidateExceptionE empty content is not valid for content model '(((Eui64,Nguid)|Wwn|NfsName|Lun+|Eui64|Nguid|Uuid))'
  • The issue applies to both SnapMirror Synchronous and Asynchronous relationships in a recovery plan in VMware Site Recovery Manager.
