  • The Data Warehouse component of OnCommand Insight when installed on Linux does not have Cognos for the integrated reporting solution. The database would have to be access manually and reporting prepared against it through your own means.
    • This is because IBM Cognos is not available on Linux
  • Some datasources rely on vendor-provided binaries which are only available on Windows
  • You can mix and match Insight servers, Data Warehouse servers, and Remote Acquisition Units running on Linux and Windows without issue as needed to work around the above limitations if desired.
