      • If your system can be upgraded to a specific version you desire
      • The correct path to reach this version
        • It may require multiple upgrades depending on the target release
        • Digital Advisor may only show the first hop if multiple upgrades are required.
      • Known risks or check points along the way

Note: Upgrade Advisor requires an AutoSupport bundle to create the report. If you don't have Autosupport enabled by default, follow How to manually upload AutoSupport messages to NetApp

Procedure

  1. Click on the link for Active IQ Digital Advisor

  1. Put your serial# of your controller under “Search” and then click Enter. Then click on the blue link of your serial#.

  1. Click on “1” in the Upgrades box.

  1. Click on “1” again.

  1. For your serial#, you can select the latest patch, the recommended release or select a specific OS version.  Other than that, click on Generate Upgrade Plan:

  1. Follow steps A-E below to generate the upgrade plan.
