Why the available aggregate IOPS is increased after AIQUM upgrade?

  • ActiveIQ Unified Manager 9.8+ (AIQUM)
  • After upgrade from bellow 9.8 versions to 9.8 and above

Answer

  • This is by design
  • The calculation of the Available IOPS has been changed. A new, higher "seed" value (works as a multiplier) is now used for ssd aggregates as part of the resolution to bug 1316821, therefore increasing the Available IOPS on ssd aggregates
