SnapManager for Hyper-V (SMHV)

Issue

  • SMHV is reporting an issue on the server running the backup when connecting to the target Hyper-V host:
Could not establish the connection to the host <hostname>
This could be because the target host is down or Snapmanager for Hyper-V webservice is not started on the target host.
  • The host is up and the SnapManager for Hyper-V WebService is running (on the target host) however the ‘Get-SMHVHost’  cmdlet run on the SMHV backup server for the problematic host returns the status as down (the status shows as up for other Hyper-V hosts backed up by the same SMHV backup server):

HostStatus: eHostDown
Port: 808
SmCoreConfigured: False
