Issue

  • Backup fails with the following error in the SMHV job report:

Error creating Snapshot copy on: \\<snapinfo_path>.
Snapshot Name: <snapinfo_snapshot>
Error code : -1
Details : Your backup operation failed.
Failed to get storage system for host resource : Name : \\<snapinfo_path>, Type: SDSMBShare 

  • The snapinfo share path is correct and accessible on the Hyper-V cluster
