Description

  • This article describes how to manually restore a single item with SMBR.
  • SMBR is not supported with SC versions after 4.8.
  • In some situations, SMBR cannot mount the snapshots to restore a single item. This can happen, for example, in a multi-domain configuration as SMBR does not support authentication across domains and when you want to restore from a SnapVault snapshot. 
  • SMBR does not support single item restore from a SnapVault backup.
  • SMBR, it is not able to get enough information from NetApp to actually implement the calls to the secondary storage in order to retrieve the backups to be automatically loaded into SMBR
