WFA login fails with "Authentication Failed" for the Active Directory users

Issue

  • When using AD authentication, following errors is seen in the WFA GUI:
Authentication Failed. Please verify Username and password.
 
  • Following errors be seen in wfa_ldap.log
ERROR [com.netapp.wfa.ldap.LdapWrapper] (default task-2278) Failed to find user in LDAP: javax.naming.CommunicationException: simple bind failed: .com:636 [Root exception is javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target]
 
  • Error in GUI: Failed to find user 'name' using LDAP servers
