  • Cannot use Network File System (NFS) or Common Internet File System Protocol (CIFS) to mount the root for upgrading Data ONTAP.
  • Using an HTTP server to install / upgrade Data ONTAP on filers and NearStores
  • Using software get to upgrade / install Data ONTAP on NetApp appliances
  • Using HTTP web server to get the Data ONTAP image on the filer
  • Data ONTAP web installation.
