- This KB is about how to configure and enable remote shell (rsh) access on a storage system.
- Error message appears when a wrong entry is used in the
hosts.equiv
file while setting up rsh access. - Error message:
Permission denied Configure and enable remote shell (rsh) access on the storage system
- This is because the client's username was not set in the
/etc/hosts.equiv
file, or the/etc/hosts.equiv
file is case-sensitive.
