Answer

NetApp does not have a specific recommendation or requirement  regarding the hyperthreading setting on HCI compute nodes.  The default status of hyperthreading  in ESXi hosts may depend on  its setting in the server's BIOS. Customers may enable or disable hyperthreading based on their operational needs and in accordance with Broadcom -VMware best practices for their workloads.
