VVOL datastores go offline by upgrading to vSphere 8

Applies to

  • VMware vCenter server 8
  • NetApp VASA Provider
  • Element 12.0 - 12.5
  • Element 12.7 and later relase which are upgraded from Element 12.0 - 12.5

Issue

  • Cannot add VASA Provider to vSphere 8
  • Inaccessible to VVOL Datastores after upgrading to vSphere 8
  • When the issue occur, following error message is generated on​ sps.log of vCenter Server.

(vmodl.fault.SystemError) { faultCause = null, faultMessage = null, reason = Unable to serialize response for method queryInfo }
