Issue

  • ESXi Host hangs
  • Reboot is required to establish access to compute host

Alert triggered after compute node restart under vCenter alarms:

Host connection and power state
  • From host syslog multiple entries found for host can't connect to storage ISCSI network:
syslog:2021-01-20T09:32:54Z iscsid: Login Failed: <IQN TARGET> if=iscsi_vmk@vmk2 addr=<TARGET IP ADDRESS>:3260 (TPGT:1049 ISID:0x5) Reason: 000c0000 Initiator Error: (0x000C Transport not found.)
