"CPLD Flashing Failed" occurs during upgrade due to ipmitool failure

  • H610S
  • NetApp Element software upgrade from 11.7 or earlier to 11.8 or later

Issue

  • FirmwareAbort occurs during H610S upgrade.

Example:

2020-11-04 02:08:17: Warning: This step may take up to 30 minutes to complete. Do not interrupt the upgrade or power cycle the storage node during this step. Doing so may make the storage node unusable
