Issue

H410C compute node hits the VMware ESX Purple Diagnostic Screen (also referred to as the purple screen of death or PSOD) referencing PANIC bora/vmkernel/main/dlmalloc.c:4924 - Usage error in dlmalloc

Cause

When you replicate virtual machines using the VMware Site Replication Manager hbr_filter with vSphere Replication, the ESXi host might fail with purple screen immediately or within 24 hours.

Solution

This issue is resolved in VMware vSphere ESXi 6.5 Patch ESXi650-201811002 and VMware vSphere ESXi 6.7 Patch ESXi670-20181100. [1]
