Find files snapshot creation fails with snapshot copy with this name already exists

Issue

  • Automatic "Create Snapshot for Volume" jobs operated by the Backup & Recovery service are failing with the error below:

Backup and Recovery
failed
Error:Failed to create snapshot for volume <vol_ID> with name rps_find_files_snapshot . Failed to create Snapshot copy "rps_find_files_snapshot" of volume "<vol_name>" in Vserver "<vserver_name>" because Snapshot copy with that name already exists.
  • Additionally, RR (Ransomware Resilience) container logs workflows such as “FindFiles” and “ExploreFiles” fail with HTTP 404 errors, e.g.:
HTTP error occurred while fetching files and folders: Client error '404 Not Found' for url 'https://<cluster_ip>/api/storage/volumes/<volume_id>/files/%2F.snapshot%2Frps_find_files_snapshot'
Relevant log extracts:
[ERROR] Failed to create Snapshot copy "rps_find_files_snapshot" ... because Snapshot copy with that name already exists.
[ERROR] HTTP error occurred while fetching files and folders: Client error '404 Not Found' ...
  • Ransomware resilience prompt the user to insert a valid charging method as the free trial has ended.
  • User is willing to use only DII workload security features and not avail of NetApp Ransomware Resilience.
