Answer

  • The alert message indicates that the licensed backup capacity has been reached.

Title:License capacity utilization Exceeded
Your are using full capacity allowed by your CLOUD_BACKUP licenses 481xxxxxx (% totalLicenseCapacity %TiB). Contact NetApp support to update this license.

  • When the licensed capacity is exceeded, normal operation is not guaranteed under BYOL licensing without additional capacity.
  • To continue backup operations without interruption, one of the following actions is required:
    • Purchase a new license with increased capacity.
    • Subscribe to a PAYGO (Pay-As-You-Go) plan.
  • If a PAYGO subscription is active, any excess capacity beyond the BYOL limit is billed under PAYGO, and backup operations continue without service interruption.
  • When using BYOL without PAYGO, exceeding the licensed limit or license expiration may result in non‑guaranteed operation.
  • NetApp recommends subscribing to PAYGO alongside BYOL to ensure uninterrupted backup services.
