Unable to delete individual cloud backups without active snapmirror relationship

Issue

  • When attempting to delete individual backup files (snapshots) from NetApp Console Backup and recovery after the SnapMirror Cloud relationship has been deleted, the operation fails with an error such as:

                        Failed to delete snapshot <UUID> of volume <UUID>  SnapMirror relationship with the specified object store and    endpoint does not exist.
  • Or via ONTAP CLI:

        Cluster::*> snapmirror object-store endpoint snapshot delete -object-store-name <name> -endpoint-uuid <uuid> -snapshot-instance-uuid <uuid>

                                                  Error: command failed: SnapMirror relationship with the specified object store and endpoint does not exist
