What do the various volume capacity items represent in BlueXP?

  1. Volume Details(Click Manage Volume -> View volume details)

What do the various volume capacity items represent in BlueXP?

  • The items are represented below:
    • Provisioned (200GiB): In the above views 1, 2(right), and 3, it's the initial size allocated at the time of its creation.
    • Disk Used (0.88GiB): In the above views 1, and 3, it's the logical space used which is derived from the amount of physical space used plus the savings from storage efficiency features (such as deduplication and compression) that have been configured.
    • Blob Used (16.13GiB): In the above views 1, 2 and 3, it's the data size tiered to the Blob storage.
      • For the Provisioned size on the above view 2(left), it's the logical space used for the volume same as the above Disk used (0.88GiB).
      • For the Disk Used size on the above view 2, it's the same size with Blob used(16.13GiB) as current design, if any change happens, it will be updated here.
      • The above view 3 shows the details of storage efficiency.
