What ports need to be open for a Data Infrastructure Insights Acquisition Unit to collect inventory and performance data from a Hitachi Ops Center data collector?

Answer

• For Hitachi Ops Center data collectors in DII to collect inventory and performance data there are several Hitachi services/modules that the Acquisition Unit (AU) must communicate with.


• The ports for each of these services can vary and are configurable in Ops Center, but by default these TCP ports are used and should be open between AU and Ops Center:
  NOTE: These are merely the default ports. If your Hitachi Ops Center was configured to use different ports for the various components, use those.
  • Common Services: TCP 443
  • Administrator: TCP 20961
  • Analyzer: TCP 22016


• If the data collector shows an error with response code 404, configure the collector to use hostname or FQDN and make sure whichver you use resolves in DNS.
• If the data collector shows an error with response code 401, configure the data collector to use the sysadmin user.
