How to set up EMS alerts to be instantly forwarded to Data Infrastructure Insights from ONTAP

Description

  • By default, DII has default inventory polling interval as 60 mins and performance polling interval as 15 mins
  • Therefore, if instant alerts notification is desired,  EMS alerting needed to be set up via DII 
  • EMS log monitors can be set up but the EMS alert will only be shown after the cluster is polled by DII
  • In order to receive EMS events before the polling period, DII needs to be set up as an event destination on the ONTAP cluster
