Answer

If you receive the message below, it means the ONTAP advanced metric on which your query, dashboard, and/or monitor is based has been removed from device collections.

  • The following metric changes are implemented:

  • Counter metrics that are deemed duplicates or are seldom used have been dropped from collections, in order to focus on a subset of essential performance metrics. Other metrics will be rolled up and/or combined for NetApp Clusters.
  • Disk metrics are no longer reported, however the metrics 'user_read_latency', 'user_write_latency', and 'cp_read_latency' are now rolled up into avg and max aggregates.
  • Therefore we now have six new metrics under aggregates:

  • user_write_latency_avg
  • user_write_latency_max
  • user_read_latency_avg
  • user_read_latency_max
  • cp_read_latency_avg
  • cp_read_latency_max
  • We stopped reporting all advanced metrics under netapp_ontap.wafl_comp_aggr_vol_bin and started reporting these metrics under the existing metric netapp_ontap.workload_volume.
