StorageGRID Appliance stuck in Rebooting after placing it into Maintenance Mode

Issue

  • Place a StorageGRID Appliance into Maintenance Mode:
    • From the Grid Manager, select Nodes, select the appliance Storage Node. Select Tasks > Maintenance Mode
  • From the Grid Manager, the appliance stuck in Rebooting:

  • From the appliance console (for example, via BMC on a SG1000), the appliance has booted to the StorageGRID Appliance Installer (Maintenance Mode, BOOT CODE = HO):

  • Able to access the StorageGRID Appliance Installer via https://<appliance IP>:8443
  • Able to reboot the appliance into normal node from the StorageGRID Appliance Installer:
    • Advanced > Reboot Controller > Reboot into StorageGRID
