Environmental shutdown due to missing power supply

Issue

  • ONTAP triggers a shutdown because one power supply is removed. Example of EMS messages:
Cluster1::> May 13 11:27:56 [node1:callhome.fans.failed:EMERGENCY]: Call home for MULTIPLE FAN FAILURE
Cluster1::> May 13 11:29:46 [node1:monitor.shutdown.emergency:EMERGENCY]: Emergency shutdown: Environmental Reason Shutdown (Multiple fans failed)
Terminated
 
 
Example of the SP Events log:
 
Record 2125: Wed May [IPMI.emergency]: Shutdown by Data ONTAP
